Pleaese look at my essay and tell me what I need to correct.

Prior to the French and Indian war colonies were independent and could choose their own form of government. The British imposed Salutary Neglect, Prime Minister Robert Walpole believed the enhanced freedom would stimulate commerce. As an example the Puritan colonies were able to practice their own religion and enforce laws in their community that reflected their religious values. A “saint” would have the ultimate say in the community but after the war an elected Parliament or appointed governor would have say. The aftermath of this war had a political effect on Britain and its colonies. “Your people daily settle on these lands, and spoil our Hunting. We must insist on your Removing them, as you know they have no Rights to settle” Document B. The Indians wanted the colonists and British off of their lands, they saw no use of them as the British used their lands for their advantage. The British stopped the colonies in North America from having independent governments. The British also set the Proclamation of 1763, which stopped the colonists from moving west into the Appalachian Mountains. British parliament and their King insisted on becoming more involved in the governance of the colonies. After the French and Indian war, the British kept a tighter control on the colonies, and imposed many taxes which pushed their movement towards independence.
