Okay, I asked this question before, but I didn't really word it right. I have a summer paper I have to do about the early 1900's, I have to mix fiction with nonfiction by choosing a fiction book set before the 1950's, taking place in America. I chose the Luxe by Anna Godberson, which takes place in the year 1900, and in the end two people go to war (i don't want to ruin it by saying who), but I can't find out how that would go down.
I need to know step by step what these characters go through, like first how they would sign up, then where the would go, (it said somewhere in the Pacific?), not like where they would be deployed, but where they would all get together to be shipped off, go through some kind of medical examination... or signing up process? Then what they would wear, what they would go through, training, anything! I'm utterly clueless and about to pull my hair out! Help?
