American Dreamz

I've seen the trailer and I have to say it looks interesting. Hugh Grant plays a self loving character as usual and Dennis Quaid as the president will be good to watch. I'm not too sure about Mandy Moore though. I want to see this movie!

Racheypoo[x];7991419']well i have seen this film and when i saw the trailer i also thought that this film looked quite good!! but i must admit when i read the synopsis i didnt think it sounded as good but i thought i would still go and see it!!! the film was okaaaay but not great it seemed a bit of a pointless film really it didnt have a storyline really it was just like watching the x factor or pop idol!! i dont think this film will be a hit !!!

I want to see this as I like American Idol, Hugh Grant and Mandy Moore. But my flatmate has seen it and she said it was awful - and she's someone who usually likes fluffy girly comedy films...

went with my girlfriend, i disliked it, and she totally detested it... the film had no real structure to it, and dennis quaid character really got on my nerves! in fact i think the whole film got on bith of our nerves, and my girlfriend normally loves films like that... so far, its the worst film of 2006 for me!

it was an okay film, but didnt really hjave a point.

I think it would have been a far better film if it had followed back stage antics, maybe in the style of drop dead georgeous.

It didnt focus enough on that side of it for me.... and what was the terrorism thing all about?????? a totally confused film that didnt really know what direction to go in that ended up OK but could have been brilliantly funny in a "drop dead gerogeous" kind of way.

I did think Hugh was very good in his role and Mandy Moore can surprisingly act.
plus it was NOTHING like watchin x factor

it was fairly bad, but I'd still say see it. Some very funny lines, and definately worth seeing, as long as you don't expect the best film ever made :P

I thought it was! I hate the cinema usually but I love Reality TV so was interested in American Dreamz as soon as I saw the trailer.

I thought Sally Kendoo was a great chatacter, like an evil version of Kellie Pickler, who is my favourite American Odol contestant.

My mim and dad loved it to even though they weren;t expecting to, and one of the best bits for us was the terrorist saying "Poor choice of song," when Omer was singing "My Way," - even he was as good as Taylor from AI, if not better! :)

I'm definitely going to purchase the DVD but wish there were more films out there like it!

Oh I probably will buy the DVD - I liked it, but its just.. really random lol.

Best moment for me was the American Dreamz caption coming up after the explosion, and them all (including the arabs) reaching for their phones!

I'm surprised there hasn't been more made about the totally racist plotlines( not that it bothered me)

I'd recommend people see it, I just think its really odd lol

I thought it was very poor. The poster above who commented that it had no real structure was spot on. I nearly walked out after the dull set-up. It seemed to try and apethe much superior "Drop Dead Gorgeous2 (albeit in a non-documentary fashion) in its satirical bent, but ended up just a confused mess.

No, it's effectively a film about the Bush administration. And put it this way, if you're a Republican, you probably won't laugh too hard. ;)

I went to see this film last week and thought it was one of the worst films I've ever seen, so boring and not even funny and really bad ending. I would advise people to avoid it at all costs.

Well a friend of mine wanted to see this, and the cinema was there, so I went in.....

...worst mistake EVER!

It was beyond AWFUL!
There was no story and the only character I felt anything for was William, and even then that was really trying!

The characters were completely unoriginal and its totally different to how the trailer presents it.

If you have nothing to do and money to burn, by all means go see it, I personally, was more amused when my popcorn fell on the floor.

Ok I'm a fan of this type of film - romantic comedy, chick flick, Hugh Grant, and the synopsis that I had read of it made it out to sound like a really interesting film to do with the Government and a PROPER plot to assassinate the President. I was so disappointed, such a boring film. I don't even remember most of it, either because I wasn't paying attention or because it was so pointless.

It had a lot of potential but just was not good.

why do film makers always make tv shows on films look so cheap and rubbishy. surely they could have spent a bit more on the actual studio set and audience to make it look more realistic. if it was supposed to be america's top rated show and not some public service thing
