Ambien

I have read several topics on here about ambien. I just started taking it about 5 days ago and so far i fall asleep fast and wake up pretty well in the mornings.

my problem is the dreams or I should say nightmares. They are horrible and so graphic. Friends of mine dying, snakes, even on where I molested my little brother when we were kids. CRAZY STUFF.

Do any of you have nightmares?:confused:

Sorry you are having nightmares. It is one of the possible side effects, so is sleep walking combined with not remembering your actions the following day after sleep walking.

I had horrible dreams along with sleep walking the short time I took Ambien. I woke up in the middle of the kitchen floor with the fridge door open and didn't remember even going into the kitchen, the next night I woke up in my bedroom floor. I stopped taking that stuff because of the sleep walking alone. I didn't want to end up leaving my house in the middle of the night and wandering into the street, or worse, get in my car and "sleep-drive".

There are some other mild sleep aides that have come out that might not cause such bad nightmares for you. Lunesta is a new one, and there is another one I think it's called Roserum (sp?).

You may want to talk with your doctor about other sleep aides. Take care, and I hope you sleep well tonight without the nightmares!
