am planning to buy a used Mazda mx5 1.6 as my first car!is it too much for a new driver?

like that car like mad!just two months ago i passed my driving test and now looking for a car!i know i cant drive any car!!but a little confused about it.is it appropiate to go for this type of car as a first car??please help!!!
 
I agree with SIlva, it's a good little car almost in the tradition of the older British sports cars and not excessively powerful. It will, however, cost you an arm and a leg to insure.

Stick to something small and boring to start your motoring career - that's why so many new drivers run around in Corsas and Saxos etc., not because they want to but because it's all they can insure.
 
Get an insurance quote before you buy the car. Unless you have very deep pockets it is not a good idea. There are hundreds of quick small cars about. You need to build up your driving history to get a reasonable quote for any sports car. Start with a small car as that will still count as driving experience and you will be saving cash for the Ferrari.
