Hello all.....

I've been doing PT for some pretty significant stenosis and degenerative disk disease. Last week, they started me on some traction.

I haven't noticed any relief and still can't stand any longer than 10 minutes or do any distance walking without using a cart/walker. No problem sitting, driving. Constant groin pain, though. The foot still goes nurab/tingling even when walking with aides.

My next step is the epidural.

Anyone out there with the same condition get relief with the injection?

Thanks for reading and any input.....
Linda

I don't have what you have, but HAVE had the ESI. It's not bad, but do have pain meRAB for when you get home as sometimes it stirs things up before it calms it all down, you be sure to take it easy for 2-3 days after, and even the things you KNOW you can do now? Cut them in 1/2 for the first day or 2, you'll know if it's going to flare up on you or not. I'm only telling you as mine had flared and boy was I caught by suprise. The proceedure itself was a piece of cake, and they nurab it some for you too so even when you get home it's okay, its the few days after that got me suprised.

As I said mine was not for what you have, was for big herniated discs, so it didn't do squat for me lol, BUTTTTTTTTT I've met alot of peeps that it's worked well for, I'm not the norm, BUT wanted to let you know that it's not a bad proceedure to sit through (well lay lol), I didn't even get any 'calm your nerve' meRAB prior to them doing it as some folks do. (some places offer it). Feel better.
