Am I Unusual For Wanting To Teach Business, Rather Than Work In Business?

I have a Bachelor's degree in Business and a Master's in Business Education. I am currently working on an MBA and aim to undertake a PhD in Marketing afterwards. I plan on working as a Marketing Professor at a university.

Currently, I am working as a high school teacher of Business.

The only reason I studied Business as an undergraduate was because it was the only 'practical' option available to me. However, I have NO DESIRE to work in business and be a 9-to-5er. My friends from college all earned their business degrees and are now cubicle lackeys, earning $40,000 / year, with hopes of earning MBAs and earning six figures soon.

I just want to teach.

Is this unusual?

By the way, I find that TEACHING business is extremely hard without actual business experience. Some subjects are easier - i.e., accounting, marketing, information technology - but other subjects are damn near impossible to teach without actual business experience - i.e., entrepreneurship, management, etc.

I am 26 years old, fresh out of grad school, I have been a teacher for three years, never MANAGED anyone, and yet I have to teach teenagers (who've never worked) how to manage? Please advise.
