am I too old to learn some winter sports like snowboarding, skiing, and skating?

I'm a very outdoorsy person but when I migrated to Canada from the Philippines, I stay cooped inside most days during winter. I'm 28 years old btw. I would really, really love to take some lessons next winter, but I'm worried that I might be too old and just waste money.
