am i safe after an HIV test?

I am wondering if 11-12 weeks is long enough to give an accurate HIV test result. After the incident i had, i waited 11-12 weeks and i got test, the results came back negative, but after reading some stuff on the internet im worried again. any suggestions?

I think that u have to have 2 negative results I think that u have to do a 6 month test to u can check it out with ur dr or the clinic
