Right now I'm 5"5 ish, 125 lbs, and riding a TTR 125. I want to know if I'm ready to buy a YZ 125.
The only experience I have is trail-riding, which is what I'd use the YZ for. I have a bit of experience with trail-riding though with my TTR, and I feel comfortable riding it. I have no problem touching the ground with both feet, so height isn't going to be a problem.
My dad doesn't think I'm ready, and that I'll kill myself, because apparently YZ 125's are dangerous. Are YZ 125's THAT much different than TTR 125's? He says I should buy a YZ 80 first, and go from there. I'd MUCH rather buy a YZ 125, though. Are YZ 125's easy to handle? Or are they completely insane, and only very experienced riders should try it?
