Am I pathetic for quitting my job while going to college?

I worked 30 hours a week and paid my way through my first 2.5 years of school. But then in my junior year the accounting classes were making everything much harder and my grades were dropping to Bs and Cs so I quit my job and started using my GI Bill benefits. I really can't seem to do well in school at this level unless I don't work or at least keep work under 15 hours a week and I don't see the point in working at a job that would let me do that since it'd be retail most likely.
Anyways, I feel like my friends, neighbors, and family all think I'm some sort of bum because now I'm talking about going to school for 9 more months to get more credits for the CPA exam. And of course, I probably won't work more than 15 hours a week if at all.
I don't screw around at all. I really study to get As and get ready for the CPA exam. If I'm not studying I'm only exercising, spending a few hours with my wife or taking my dog to the park or something. I study so much I feel burned out most of the time. I really don't see how other people can work full time and get decent grades in college at the upper division courses. Unless maybe it was something easy.

Anyways. What's your opinion? Amy I lazy and pathetic?

You may be taking harder classes than some of your friends, and some people just have to study more than others. You don't want your schoolwork to suffer just so you can make minimum wage at a retail job. It doesn't make any sense to waste all that tuition money and risk your future career (when you will make real $$).

You definitely want to get your CPA. It will make it easier to get a job and you will get a higher paying job. And it's a good idea to get it now, instead of trying to wait and get it later.

Nope, thats what that money is for, as well as student loans, so u don't have to work as much and can focus on school. Wait til u graduate and make good money, then they can eat their words.
