I spend at a minimum of 45 minutes a day grooming with an average of 1 1/2 hours spent.
I brush her with a cat comb first to get out all her knots (I don't like cutting them out) then go over her with a slicker brush removing all dead fur then finish with a dog pin brush just for looks. I check her paws everyday for disturbances and file and rub moisturizer into the paws as I go, I also use dog hair scissors to keep the hair around her eyes short as well as using the normal products to clean the discharge from her eyes. I do this twice a day.
I wash her once a week to clean out any dirt she has in her bad smells or obvious muck in her fur.
I'm kind of getting the feeling from people online and in real life this is excessive, is it?
OH, it's vet prescribe lotion because she was getting cracks in her paws from day 1 of owning her.
OK, what do I do if I can't wash her and she gets those dirty patches of urine/poop/insects/dirt?
