Am I missing the subtitles for True Blood when they speak latin or other languages in flash backs and such?

I downloaded True Blood and am into season 3 and I never know whats going on like in Eric's flashbacks to his viking family or when Godric made him it seems like there's supposed to be subtitles for those scenes but my file doesn't have them. I'm just wondering if I really am missing them and should go find subtitles or if it was supposed to be that way.
