SO.. just got my android phone and really digging it so far. Couple of things really bother me and i have some questions.

1. If i am filling out a form, lets say, putting in my credit card info (or something similar that has multiple fields that you need to fill out), when i click on a box that i need to type info into, the keyboard pops up... i fill out my info and hit next... the system doesn't tell me the name of the field that it took me to "next", and i have to hit the back button to view the form again and see what field i am supposed to be filling out...

am i doing something wrong here cause this just seems DUUUUUUUUMMMBB!!!??

2. Is there ANY way to get all my email into 1 (or 2) "boxes"? I have a gmail, a google apps email, comcast, and another pop account.
I come from a blackberry, and while i know there isnt anything on the market that can do email like a blackberry, you would think you could get a little closer to the mark on such a highly configurable device?

Hmmm.. thats it for now (other than not having a speed dial.. LAME)

1) When you finish entering one field on the form, press the back button. This will close the virtual keyboard, allowing you to scroll around the page to the next field and thus seeing what it is in the process.

2) The easiest way to get all your email into one inbox, is to either have all your other accounts forward their emails to your phone's gmail account, or perhaps better set up your phone's gmail account to pull the emails from your other accounts. You can do this in the settings on the gmail website.

And you do have speed dial. But it's different.

Long press on your home screen until a menu appears. Select Shortcut. Select either Contact (if you want to have a shortcut to the full contact), or Direct Dial (if you want to make a speed dial shortcut), or Direct Message (if you want to make an SMS shortcut). Find the contact you want from the list, and you're done.

After that you can just click the contact from your home screen.

If you don't want all your "speed dials" taking up space on your home screen, you can make a folder on your home screen and put them in it. Or, you can star all your most frequently used contacts and they appear in the Favorites tab in the Contacts app.

Ok, so i think i figured out why... when i long press, then select short cut, then select direct dial.. is there a way to search your contacts to find the correct 1? I have almost 800 contacts and scrolling through all of them is not an option.. well.. i guess its an option.. just a bad one.. lol

When i do scroll, and lets say i have 3 numbers associated with 1 contact, it shows me that contact 3 times but doesnt tell me what number is associated with the name.... ????

To search through all 800 contacts quickly, while on the list of Contacts just press Menu and select Search. Start type the name (first or last) of the contact you're looking for. After each keypress the search will reduce the list of displayed contacts, so you don't even have to type the full name usually.

I don't understand why you can't see the numbers under the contact. When I make a direct dial shortcut it does show more than one number for each contact that has more than one number, but underneath the name in small letters it says the number.

It looks a bit like this (on Android 1.6):

Some Name
Home: 1234567890

Some Name
Mobile: 0987654321

Some Name
Work: 1122334455
