Am I losing anything by switching from a BS biochemistry to a BA biochemistry?

I just find that I am not doing so well in the BS degree. I've changed my study habits, gotten myself academic accommodations (extra time on tests), talked to many professors/advisers over and over again and still am not cutting the grade. I'm pretty much failing out, and not so happy. I study hard (and better than I used to), but am just not getting it. I want to get a job with just a BS in biochemistry, but would a BA be ANY DIFFERENT?
This doesn't really matter but I guess you can say that I am more a liberal artsy kinda guy...
The BS just seems stronger in science and a degree worth more
BA doesn't require genetics and that hard of a biochemistry course sequence track (405 and 406 - multiple choice exams vs. 440-442 in the BS option with "recall by memory" and short answers --- anything's possible)

Basically, I just sat blank on the final and got an 80/200 while the class curve grade average was a 142/200. Yes, I can do somewhat better, but biochem is a hard class to pass and maybe another shot could help. I am only 33 credits from graduating
