The licence website states "if you use any device to receive television programmes as they're being shown on TV, the law requires you to be covered by a licence" My laptop does not have a receiver, however is essential for uni work. The BBC chose to put there progs on the internet so why should I pay for that! (I hardly every watch my home TV already, due to the increasingly poor standard) PS How would they prove it?
Am I legally required to buy a tv licence as a student laptop user?
