Am I covered or not? UK (car insurance)?

my dad bought me a car. its in my name. the insurance is also in my name. and all the documents are under my dads address in scotland.
afew months ago i moved to england. am i still covered or not? incase i have an accident?
 
Mmmm, it could be debatable. It all depends on what happens to the car. If when taking out the policy you told them the car is usually kept in a garage, and it gets stolen from your new place that doesn't have a garage, then they might get a bit wa*ky and argue the point. If you are just in a normal crash on the roads then it's fine because it's all done through the DVLA.

Point is, legally you are fine, it just depends on how your car meets with a problem on whether the insurance bods decide to pay out-or-not. Best thing to do is contact both your insurance company and the DVLA informing them of an address change. It won't cost much, if anything at all.
