I'm a 26 year old female whose out of shape. I'm probably 20 pounds overweight (by my standards) but I'm within normal range of BMI- but on the high end or normal. I would get winded walking up like 3 or more flights of stairs if i were to go fast. I can exercise at the gym for an hour to an hour and a half or so - cardio - at a moderate pace. I'm afraid of going on the inca trail and not being able to keep up to everyone else - or worse dying!

At what level are the people who hike the inca trail? Can I do it without being miserable and regretting spending the money? I have like 3.5 months to train? Do you think I'll do it?

Thanks.
Sincerely, afraid to try.
I have trouble with vagarious cardio. I can't breathe to great if I had to RUN. I can keep up a moderate pace though...say walking but inclines aren't really my friend.
