am i bricked?

i was trying to revert back to 2.0.1. to send my phone in under the warranty. i downloaded an update-stock.zip file and applied it using sprecovery. when the phone boots up i get a blank black screen with only the notification bar at the top (time, date, etc.) when i hold down power and x, i just get a droid laying down with a triangle and an exclamation hovering over it! please tell me i'm not bricked! does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do? my new phone arrives tuesday and i really need the old one back to stock so that i dont get charged a gazillion dollars for the new one! pleeeeeaaassseeee help fast!!!!
 
I don't think your bricked, on most android phones that is the stock recovery. I'm not a droid owner so I'm no sure what your next step is but this will bump it to the top again.
 
the phones asking for you to flash a rom, stock rom. in update.zip form. try pressing the alt+L buttons when you get to the screen with an exclamation point. you should get a menu for the stock recovery after that.
 
Alt+L didn't worl either... I'm typing from the browser wit hard keyboard tho... I chose report on a fc message then a link to get n the browser.. I'm perplexed! I don't know what else to do but ask u guys
 
naw, this is actually an easy fix. all u have to do is flash the 2.1 sbf original Rom. http://theunlockr.com/2010/06/04/how-to-unroot-the-motorola-droid/

proud is on 2.1 officially if u go back to 2.0.1 they gonna know something fishy. u might even get an ota to go to froyo from the official 2.1. just calm down read the link I gave u n you'll b up n running n no time.
