Am I Best Picking Geology or Earth Science To Be Specialized In Volcanology?

im going to uni in few years time but i would like to know what am i best studying for degree, masters then a PhD.

Im hoping to be volcanologist and i know you need a PhD to become one but what course at university am i best studying? Geology or Earth Science?
