Am I Being A Douchebag?

I guess I should have added that as well, because that is why I wouldn't do it at this particular time. Now after March 2014,(mandatory retirement date) if not before, I would stand by my original post.
I will also add, because of the insurance thing, I wouldn't let my kid do it. One little accident could turn into a gigantic law suit......which I can live without!!!

A 15 year old kid is fine by himself/herself, or could stay with neighbors or friends. Much safer at home, than on the road, unlicensed, uninsured, one step away from being locked up WITH his parents, and his bike towed in.

Many Sporties will outrun most baggers, as well as outhandle.

sounds to me like these parents have nothing to lose. Kind of like a mexican illegal that drives a car without insurance or a license and gets in an accident and has nothing to their name. Not wise to condone this kind of decisions-find a new group to ride with. Some with two brain cells to rub together hopefully.

I guess I can't understand why you wouldn't confront them and tell them it was illegal - but maybe you already did. Not to be an a-hole or anything but clearly some laws are there for a reason - this being one of them.
