Dad needs to take Jr out and teach him how to ride, just the two of them. Get him some experience before taking on a group ride. If he gets experience, I wouldn't worry about the license.
To whom it may concern:
As far as breaking the law-I think we were all born to break the law. Maybe it's just me. I like to do what I want to do. It's a freedom thing. I don't mean I'd kill somebody or rob a bank. No felonies, but misdemeanors? Yeah, if that's what I want to do at the time. If I think I can get away with it-especially traffic laws. I beat the speed limit sometimes, I make illegal u turns, I sometimes park illegally, I even had a camera catch me one time when I lost a race with a yellow light at 3 am and I was the only vehicle at the intersection. What the hell. If I get caught, I get a ticket, so what?
I think a lot of people get their panties in a wad over nothing,Then sit back and say nothing when they it really counts. I think we are becoming a bunch of sheep.
Back around 1776, the colonists broke a whole bunch of the King's laws, and look what happened-the greatest nation in the world was born.
During Prohibition a lot of people broke the law with moonshine stills and speak easy's(sp). Thanks to that lawbreaking we can have a beer when we want one, and don't have to worry about going to jail.
I've been reading where it's ok to let your kid ride a dirt bike and I agree with that. But kids get hurt riding dirt bikes. Is that child endangerment? How about learning to ride a bicycle?
If Dad and Jr want to ride without a license, let 'em. No harm-no foul.
When I got my motorcycle endorsement my driving test "instructor" said "ride out into the middle of the parking lot and do two figure 8's". Then she took off 4 points because I didn't use my turn signal in the parking lot. LOL. Basically the endorsement is an excuse for them to get $5. It don't mean you can operate a motorcycle in traffic. It's all about experience and you can't buy that-you have to earn it.
