Use the factor theorem to determine whether x-c is a factor of f. If it is, write f in factored form, that is, write f in the form f(x) = (x-c) quotient
the problem was: f(x) = -4x(to the 4th power) + 5x(to the 2nd power) + 8; c=-2
My answer: (x+2) is not a factor
f(c) is not equal to 0
I know its not a factor, but is that the way I'm suppose to write my answer
Im not sure if I'm following what the book is asking me for.
