I wonder if anyone can help me. I bought a pair of running trousers for my husband on friday as a gift. He did not like them (at least I tried
) and so he returned them to Alton Sports in Alton, Hampshire on Saturday for a refund (he actually looked around the shop but did not see anything else he liked). When he asked for a refund the staff became hostile and told him that they never give refunds, only store credit.
They were very curt and unfriendly and made no effort to give a good reason why you can get a refund in almost every other shop in the UK within 24 hours on an unopened product, but not at Alton Sports.
My husband left the shop very frustrated and annoyed at being treated that way.
Is it even legal what they are doing?
We have spent hundreds of pounds in that shop over the past 2 years on our 3 sons and we both feel really let down.
