I just joined my schools jazz band and I am having trouble thinking of solos. Basically we take turns just thinking up a solo and i am a concert player used to reading the music in front of me. My band teacher told me to look up saxaphone jazz players and see what they play. We play a scale that on the alto sax is g bflat c csharp d f g. Any ideas or anything is welcome.
