CPU: AMD 4850e 2.5GHz
Motherboard: Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ 780G
Memory: G.SKILL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800
Video: eVGA 9800GT 512MB
Hard Drive: Samsung 320GB 7200RPM SATA II
Optical Drive: Lite-On 20x DVDR
PSU: Rosewill 600W
Case: Rosewill Conqueror

Total: $475

Alternatively, I could go for the E5200 Wolfdale processor, but I'd probably have to cut back the graphics card to a 9600GT or HD4670. I question whether that's a good tradeoff in a budget gaming rig, though. I have to keep costs down - I'm already well above my initial budget of 400$! The 4850e is a fairly low end processor, but the 9800GT is definitely the best card I can afford by far.
eVGA 9800GT and G.SKILL 4GB RAM on newegg for $180 -15$ MIR. It's a sick deal. The RAM by itself is $66, so it's like getting the 9800GT for 99$ after the MIR! Can't beat it.

ya sounds good =) shood be a good build.
always seems to happen that way >< you only want to spend 300..but then you spend 4..etc...

i'm not sure which would be better as far as processors..but as far as i can tell you cant squeeze anything more in there. Although..i would recomend getting a wireless card...
i just used this one in a build and it was prety nice

unless you already have one..

how much are you spending on the 9800gt?
if its anywhere near 170..you could get a 4850 instead..those are great cards...and will mop the floor with the 9800...800 stream processors!
i wouldn't spend more than 130 on 9800gt

i always get my stuff from newegg..hopefully thats where you're going
