...severe electrical issues? I first realized I had a problem when my truck quit on the freeway after washing it and filling it up with fuel. I had a fuse that kept tripping which belonged to the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and was still having the same problem. I pulled the fuse block off to look at it and it had pretty much melted together. I replaced the fuse block, all seemed to be going well. I drove the truck for 50 miles and it quit again. I still had some charge because the dash lights and head lights remained on. I was unable to get the truck started so I towed it to my work place. I checked for spark and fuel and I was getting both. I sprayed some starter fluid into the air intake and it started. I drove it home with no issues. I went out to start it again and the battery appeared dead so I jump started it. It ran for a couple of meters and quit again. I put the jumper cable on it from another vehicle for a couple minutes and was able to start it again. I placed a volt meter on the positive post on the alternator and the negative on the truck frame and was getting a good reading. I increased the RPM and the truck began to act up again by almost quitting and then revving back up four times and then it finally quit. I was able to start it again but it quit shortly after. This is where my frustration has stopped for now. Thank you in advance for a help.
