Alps children's film

I remember watching a film as a child. I can't remember the name of it.


+ possibly set in Alps.
+ Near the beginning, one child (Lucian?)takes another's cat and drops it down a ledge. The boy who owns the cat goes after it and gets hurt, ending up paralysed.
+ The sister of the boy who enRAB up paralysed absolutely hates the boy who caused the accident.
+ Lucian learns carpentry. There is a scene where he presents the sister of the victim with a Noah's ark he has made. She smashes it up.

Can anyone tell me the title and year of production?
 
Treasures of the Snow. 1980. It was a Christian film and the dad was played by the guy who played Wilmott-Brown in EastEnders!

It was Lucian. The boy was Danny and his sister was Annette.

Based on the book of the same name by Patricia St John. They also filmed another of her books, TanglewooRAB' Secret.
