I'm 37 years old.
at 29, I had Pancreatitus with no other health issues
Just last week I noticed a dime sized spot on my chin of missin facial hair on the right side of my face.
2 days later I noticed on top my head, 2 dime sized spots of hair missing, also on the right side.
I went to Grouphealth and the Dr. just siad, yes, I think your right. Alopecia.
She has sent me to see a dermotologist.
I don;t know if I am keen on seeing a dermotologist. That is just treating the symptoms. Shouldn't I be seen by some other specialist or have a ton of tests done? She only ran 5 blood tests on me.
Shouldn't I see if this is from a food allergy, or maybe a gluten issue etc..
The way I see it: If every night your car window gets broken, you don;t just go get it replaced, you go after the cause of the broken window, not just fix it.
Anyone else understand where I am going with this theory?
I have also been under an enormous amount of stress for the past 6 weeks. The Dr. said that they have nothing in common.
How can she say this when just 2 minutes prior she stated that she doesn't know anything about Alopecia and that my guess is basically as good as hers. All she confirmed is that it wasn't ringworm.
