Has anyone else had luck with this?

I have tried so many things to get relief and it seems like nothing is working. I gave up on the PPI's and other prescriptions after none of them worked for me. I have changed my diet, added strong probiotics and digestive enzymes and still I'm miserable. I went to the herbal store yesterday and the woman recommended I try aloe vera juice. I know I've read about it before and how it's supposed to heal the inside of you just like it's supposed to heal the outside. I reluctanly took it yesterday 2 times and once again today (so far). I even gave it a test last night by eating chili (very mild and very little). I felt uncomfortable for about 15 minutes and then it went away. I actually feel normal again. I hope it's not wishful thinking. I'll have to post again in a few more days and see how I'm doing.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had good luck with this?

I would not test anything on your stomach for at least a month. It will take a while to heal. The best thing i have read is cabbage juice. You would need a juicer to make it yourself. And if the placebo effect is improving your symptoms, that just underlines the improvement one can achieve by thinking positive and reducing their stress! If it is wishful thinking and it is working, I would try to encourage more of that in yourself.

I couldn't help but see that you had acid reflux and taking Aloe Vera is the best thing to resolve such symptoms as I believe they nurab and heal on the inside. I use them and I find it helps a lot and I recommend Aloe to many of my frienRAB with reflux and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I take it early morning and before bed time. I am new here and I am just finding my way around. I am not sure where I should write my first post to introduce myself. Perhaps you can help.

Thanks so much for responding and welcome. I'm kind of new as well and have been on here for a few months. You can just click on "new post" and type away. It's a pretty easy board to post on.

Can you tell me if you take probiotics as well? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out WHEN to take all the stuff that I'm supposed to take b/c some has to be taken on an empty stomach, like the aloe vera and the probiotics. I have a hard time finding a time when my stomach is fully empty since I snack a lot during the day. Right now I take the probiotic first thing in the morning abd then take the aloe vera juice before lunch. The hard part is that I'm not always home at lunch to take it.

Yes, I take probiotics as well. You can take 1 acidophilus (best to store in fridge until expiry) first thing in the morning after breakfast and according to the instructions on the bottle of the Aloe Vera you are using if it is concentrated then you will probably need to dilute it or if not you can take it just as it is. Mine is not concentrated so i can just drink it straight out of the bottle without diluting. It is better to take the Aloe on empty stomach first thing in the morning and last thing at night just before you go to bed. You don't really need anything at lunch. Also do store your Aloe in the fridge so they last longer. If you want to prevent snacking during the day it is better to take quality protein if you can find 22 Amino AciRAB that will give you sustained energy for up to 4 hrs. and can also prevent onset of diabetes later in life. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I have to snack throughout the day b/c when my stomach gets empty, it makes me sick. My dr recommended it. I am also very small and can only eat a little bit at a time.

I've been keeping track of my food and nutrient intake. According to the RDA %'s, I'm getting enough of many vitamins and minerals with the food and vitamins I take. I was a little low on protein some of the days and was always low on fiber. I'm working to get those nurabers up.

It helped me a bit although it is a bowel cleanser too..at least on me it was. I read that you are not to gulp it but sip it so....I had trouble taking the apple cider as so sour on my stomach with wierd bowels all day so not sure how it will affect you. I am sensitive that way but the aloe vera did give me some relief. I read where one chap drinks large quantities of it daily and it helped him ; not to mention your hair and nails benefit along with all the other amazing attributes. Good Luck.

nearly new ...Nero
