almost 40 weeks pregnant, no progress?

I'm 40 weeks on friday, with my first child i lost "the plug" had contractions and managed to be induced to speed things along on my due date. This time, baby still seems high in my stomach, my bishop score is a 2 so i can't even be induced and my cervix, lets not even get into that, not only is it located somewhere in my left shoulder i assume, its hardly 1cm dilated. I get contractions but their pathetic and suspiciously braxton hicks, as they go away eventually, her head is at the cervix, its just high up there. Anyone have this similar story? what helped? what happened? he claims i wont need a csection but what if i dont progress any more? she can't live in there forever.
 
Don't worry my dear you'll be fine my first was over due by 2 weeks and was very high she was so high that when my water broke it jsut kept flowing for a couple hours and weird as that sounds eventually she moved down but if the baby does'nt come down like one of my twins did'nt they will push on your tummy to move the baby down themselves.
