I currently have been switched to Verizon as they have bought out Alltel in my region. My current phone under the Alltel contract is about to bite the dust. On my plan there are 3 lines which can only be upgraded at the earliest in August. I want to buy a phone off of ebay and use it. The phone is the HTC Diamond with Alltel info inside I guess. Would I be able to purchase this phone and activate it using and ESN swap and just have it as my regular phone without the smartplan. Since I am unable to upgrade my current plan yet. Every time I call Verizon I get a different answer and I don't want to purchase this phone and have it be useless.
