i just had a question, i posted in the v3 flashing section but i dont know if anybody will see it in there so i wanted to post it here. i have an alltel v3m and wanted to flash it to cricket. i read the tutorial and it said to flash it with the alltel monster but if its an alltel v3m do i still need to flash it with the alltel monster? or what steps from that tutorial should i take. im not a noob but this will be the first motorola i flash to cricket. thanks for any help.
 
you need to get the cricket razr monster files and rsd lite. Just follow the same guide as the alltel flash put just use the cricket files...

Do you want to have picture/web?

Do you still want to keep the memory card and mp3 player capabilites ???

If you don't care about the Memory card and Mp3 player capabilites i would just flash it with the v3c monster flash....

If you wan't to keep all the features of the phone its a little bit more complicated but you keep the same frimware you have, you just have to change all your websessions, brew settings, MIP settings, and MMS Settings to match that of a v3c and your golden
 
ok thanks for the replies. yes i want to have everything mms, web, and tflash slot working. its ok if its a little complicated. i have flashed and modded motorolas before but they were gsm motorolas so this wont be too new to me i just dont know where to start or anything. mooingrhinocero if i start at step 4 and reflash the alltel pack will everything work?
 
ok i followed the tut and i dialed 611 but its saying welcome to american roaming.com your phone is not currently registered in the area and cannot be billed in a normal way. dial one to make calls by billing collect. etc. does that mean i didnt successfully load the prl?
 
ok nvm i guess i hadnt done it right i did it again and now its saying to route your call to your home service provider please enter your ten digit mobile nuraber. now i need to update my esn
 
and try dialing *22804 after the esn change if that will not work just flash the cricket prl to it and you should be good to go
