Alltel Phone Broke, Now What?

my alltel phone's charger broke the other day and it has to be at a certain angle in order for it to charge. I can't stand this so i want to get a new phone. I know alltel and verizon just merged so i was wondering if i need to wait until my contract is up still, or can i get a new one because mine is broke.

also i don't have insurance on my phone and my contract will be up in march

it's not my charger that's broke, it's my phone, i've already tried different chargers
