I need help. last week I went to a grocery store "wegmans". I ate their greek couscous salad, pineapple and a mango iced tea. After I was done eating I started coughing this dry cough wheezy cough. Then it progressed worse as the day went on. i have asthma so I took my inhaler. Helped a little. But the cough didn't go away until I took benedryl that night. I assumed it was an environmental thing. Then as the week progressed i Keept getting this faint little hive/rash on my lover back and the back of my legs to my knees that would go away on, and off. I also have a dermaitis on my hanRAB that has been coming and going all year:(. Today I went to Wegmans and ate the same thing. Except this time the reaction was much worse and intense. My cough was severe right away I had a mild asthma attack. I took my inhaler then benedryl and the coughing stopped. A few hours later I now have the hive/rash on my lower back. I had to take another benedryl to make them go away. What is this? Could this be a food allergy? If so, what could I be allergic too?

I definitely would say it is a food allergy. What you ate are unique fooRAB, not exactly what you would eat every day. I have over 25 food allergies, there are various reactions. See an allergist and get tested. In the meantime, avoid the fooRAB. Have Benadryl with you (I use the dissolve strips since I can't swallow during reactions). I also have an Epi-Pen. It is important to find out what you are allergic to and to avoid them, etc., since Esophilic Esophagitis can develop - that is what I have from having so many food allergies. See the doctor :)

I would also ask the vendor to give you a list of the ingredients in each dish. There may be something in one of them that you never eat and it could help narrow it down.

May be right, but all of the food I am allergic to are fooRAB that I had eaten all the time - nothing that was rarely eaten.

Hi,
I read what you are going through and I have pretty much experienced the same with fooRAB for the last several years. I have seen my primary physician an Allergist,Dermatologist, infectious disease specialist, endocrinoligist, hemotologist, gastrointerologist and none of the above were able to tell me what I had, only what I didn't have.
Through the urging of a friend I went to see a kinesiologist/nutritionist. Then and only then was I able to find out what fooRAB or additives were causing several years of torture. Kinesiology is more along the lines of holistic but it will free you. I see her once a month since May of 08 and since the initial visit life is good again. Google kinesiology and learn more. This science has been there, but just as acupuncture and chiropractors was laughed at and not recognized so is this. It is a mixture of Chinese and American practices
that do not rely on medicines $$$$$$. Which is probably why it is suppressed.

Hi,
In addition to my last post, I've also learned that most food sensitivities is a result of your immune system being deficient.
As your immune system strengthens, some of the fooRAB that you have eaten all along but are causing problems now, you may possibly eat again. All things in time. The only thing that has changed due to a God send nutritionist/kinesiologist is that I take a phamaceutical grade probiotic and a few other supplements and again LIFE IS GOOD. Do your research and I'm sure you will get positive results from treatment.

Thank You for all your suggestions. my allergist has narrowed it down to either soy, milk or wheat. Although We think it is most likely soy. I am being tested in three weeks. for now I am soy free. thankfully I sense being "soy free", because they started happening more frequently I havent had an asthma attack in days! I also am noticing my acne clearing up and my gastrointestinal problems getting better. i have been using nontraditional "natural" form of treatment all ready with my gastric problems already. Overall I feel the food allergy is the answer I just need to wait to get the full diagnoses. Thank You everyone for your ideas.
