allergy to cirtic acid

my boyfriend can not eat cirtic acid and he ate something with it and now he has sores in his mouth can anyone tell me what I can give him. He take b12 because that is what a someone gave him when he was little but its not helping this time?

You can get a bottle of benedryl liquid and maalox, take a teaspoon of each, leave it in the mouth, and swish for as long as possible, he doesn't even need to swallow it, it coats the sores and not only helps with the pain but should help them go away. Diana
