Allergy-Levothyroxine?

Hi

I don't know know if anyone can help, I am not 100% sure but think I may have an allergy to my Levothyroxine medication. Since taking the medication in April I have had a persistant sore itchy throat, ear ache which consists of blocked ears, feelings of fatigue and achy joints and neck.

I have been reading a website which said that one of the ingredients of levothyroxine is acacia which is a family of shrubs and trees, and is used in some medications to provide form and shape to tablets. Some people who have pollen allergies and hay fever -- especially to tree and grass pollens -- may also have an allergy to acacia, including when it's an ingredient in a medication. So, for some thyroid patients with allergies, taking Synthroid can cause allergic symptoms, including mood changes, runny nose, watery eyes, and congestion, among other symptoms.

I suffer from hayfever during the summer quite badly and therefore am starting to wonder if this is the cause of my problem. I have been to my doctor 6 times in 2 months and he just dismisses me, failing to recognize that there is a problem? If my doctor won't help me is there anywhere else that can test me for allergies? Should I change my doctor or will all doctors treat me this way if they think it may be an allergy? Is there any good alternatives to Levothyroxine? I know there is a natural for of thyroid hormone but I read about someone who put on 2 stone while on it and then when they went back to Levothyroxine the weight dropped off?

Thanks, would be great to receive any advice or anyone in a similar situation?

;)
