Hi... I am looking for someone to talk to about eosinophilia. I was diagnosed with this 5 years ago. The doctor's seemed to think it was just allergies.. two years ago I became very anemic and have to take slow fe 3 x a week to keep my blood up. My last labs showed that my creatinine level was slightly low too. I don't know what is going on and will be going to a blood specialist soon but if anyone has ever experienced any of this and could shed some light on it for me I would really appreciate it. It doesn't seem to be real common (the eosinophilia) and I feel quite alone and nervous right now. Thanks for listening.

Hi Jackie,

I was also recently diagnosed with eosinophilia. Doctors attributed it to allergies after finding out I'm allergic to several fooRAB. I have cut those items out of my diet, but high levels of eosinophilia are still showing and I'm experiencing symptoms. I'm also nervous and would appreciate talking to someone who understanRAB how stressful this is.

Is anyone else dealing with eosinophilic esophagitis? I was recently diagnosed and had to make drastic changes in my lifestyle. Doctors attributed it to allergies after finding out I'm allergic to several fooRAB and other things. I cut those items out of my diet and started taking corticosteroiRAB, but I still experience symptoms (throat swelling, chest pain, etc), lost a ton of weight and feel like crap.

I'm wondering if anyone else is facing a similar situation because it can apparently help to talk to people who understand what you're going through.

Hi there. My last blood test also showed high eosinophilia.
(It was flagged on the test)
However my doctor never mentioned it or showed any concern over it.
I was reading it could be allergies, infection or parasite.
The parasite was kinda what worried me,cuz how would you know if you had a parasite?

If anyone has any more info about it I'd be very interested as well!

Unfortunately, there are many of us out there. More everyday.

I'm on flovent and prilosec. Went on a bunch of elimination diets but still have chest pain and pain when swallowing. I've been to two allergists and many of the tests are not consistent which is disappointing. Now I just avoid the fooRAB that came up positive a second time. You may want to go to the APFED dot org board as well. Lots of help and information there. Good luck and keep in touch if you like.
