Allergies and asthma

Hello-

I have never had allergies but seem to have developed them a little late in life, at 50. I have kind of ignored the symptoms for 1.5yrs (although I did have a chest x-ray). - Night-time coughing, throat clearing, sneezing and even some chest tightness. I googled allergies and asthma and have alot of the symptoms and we live in the worst area for allergies.

I will be seeing my Dr. next wk for a physical. I HAVE tried clarintin but It makes me hyper. Zyrtec helps some. Does anyone know what the doc may rx for meRAB? Has anything helped you? Are there natural alternatives or diet changes I could make?

HI, I just started getting itching and throat clearing, and chest tightness and shortness of breath and low grade fever of 99.1 to 99.7 as well. I have to call my doctor, as all these symptoms have started in the past year and I am 40. I believe I may have a food allergy. possibly cheese/milk, dont know for sure. But the best thing to do, is to stay away from milk, whey, casein, soy, soy protein, wheat, barley, nuts, etc.etc.. do a google and see what fooRAB are the most common allergens and stay away from them and just see if your condition improves. Allergy tests are also not 100% accurate either, so sometimes you have to figure them out yourself. Best of luck, let us know how it goes at the Doc.
