All Quiet on the Western Front explanation of content and literary element?
hi i have just finished reading the book and with school just around the corner I would be more than appreciated if someone could explain the content of this quote "Beside us lies a fair- headed recruit in utter terror. He has buried his face in his hands, his helmet has fallen off. I fish hold of it and try to put it back on his head. He looks up, pushes the helmet off and like a child creeps under my arm, his head close to my breast. The little shoulders breathe. Shoulders just like Kemmerich’s. I let him be.” (61) Also another big question of my is, What would the literary element be and why. I have thought of a simile but am not sure if its correct and have no idea how to explain why it would be a simile. THE BEST ANSWER GETS A ***** ( 5 STAR) plz and thank you need answer asap!!
