All great hockey players get accused of whining, even Gretzky did?

To bash someone like Crosby who does so much for the game, just sounds like jealousy to me. A true hockey fan would love any player who does so much for the game. I am guessing if he played on your team, you would love him. I just know that hockey needs help in the states, and Crosby is a player that brings excitement to the game, and the Penguins are very lucky to have him!

Yes, I'm very jealous that I'm not as good at whining and being a little boy as Crosby. I'm also very jealous that I don't have the skills to be a great hockey player as he is. Typical bandwagoning homer...

A true hockey fan wouldnt come on here and not ask a question. All you did was state your point of view. Can I not be different than you and have my own opinion? Or shall I be herded like sheep just like yourself?

i dont think mario, orr, howe, and so on ever got accused of whinning. Mario even fought a few times to shut people up. its not about just the whining its also about the diving and stuff. Ask Marty Biron when the flyers played Crosby. Crosby to ref hey Biron touched the puck before it when out. as he skates by Biron. Biron say he doesn't lie and he doesn't whine

Do you honestly think Syd does anything for the game, outside of Pengoland?? Honestly, he draws attention from every other city, because they want to see him get crushed, because we are sick of having him forced down out throat as the greatest ever. I was sick of the guy, before he even got drafted, just the same way I was with that drama queen Lindros. If Syd, quit crying about every call, or non call, and when he scores, act like he did it before, instead of looking like a soccer queen, people wouldnt hate him quite as much.

Even Gretzky? That's what Gretzky was best at. Yes, he was a good player, but if you consider the fact that he was almost never hit (except the horrible cheap shot by that f***er Suter), he couldn't check a coat, (I remember seeing that he was in the minus 30's on more than one occasion) made blind passes constantly that were "brilliant" when they came off, but when they didn't...oh well. Anyway, I digress. Any call that went against his team he was bitching and whining to the ref. Could he do amazing things? Yes. Was he annoying? Hell yes.

Gretzky whined, Lemieux whined. Lafleur whined, Bobby Clarke whined, Bobby Hull whined.

One of the biggest whiners ever was Phil Esposito.

Sidney Crosby has a long way to go be a whiner in the same class as Lemieux and Gretzky were. He;s still a few notches below players like Bretrt Hull and Jeremy Roenick as well.

Nobody will ever catch Esposito (partly because he still whines to this very day!)
