great, let the spoonfeeding commence... let me get a few things straight, the "best" to me is probably a lot different than the "best" for you. what do you want on a mobile phone? you have to know, that there are thousands of models of phones ranging from under $100 to well over $1000. let me ask you this. what is the best vehicle? well, im in college, and have a pretty decent job but dont work that many hours, so i cant afford a really nice brand new vehicle. i need to be able to haul around my dirtbike and go offroading. so i ended up buying a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. if i got a Honda Civic, i wouldnt be able to haul around anything or have 4x4 and if i bought a Ferrari i wouldnt be able to afford the payments. you need to figure out what is best for you. to figure that here are a few things you need to figure out:
1. price range: what is the approximate ammount you are willing to spend. it should be anywhere around $300-$500 for a good GSM phone that you would consider the "best" for you. Opera (sp) has a phone worth a couple grand... but it doesnt have the features mine does exept it probably has gold plated this and that with diamond buttons etc etc...
2. frequency: you need to know if you need a phone that supports the 850 band. GSM phones will come as either tri-band (they support the 900, 1800, and 1900 mhz bands) or quad-band (they support 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 bands). T-Mobile supports 1900 mainly, so this wouldnt be an issue, but you are on Cingular, so this might be an issue or it might not because Cingular uses 850 in some areas. i have a triband phone and it has good reception pretty much everywhere. but some people on Cingular do have reception problems and need a quadband phone. so call your local Cingular and ask if they use the 850 band in your area. this is a crucial step of determining what phone you can and cant buy.
3. features: what you want out of this phone. this is the most important aspect of what mobile phone is the best for you. their are endless ammounts of features available in these, you just need to know what you are looking for. if you want the phone with the best camera, look into the Sony Ericsson k800 (or the quadband verson, the k790), or the Sharp 903. if you want the phone with the best music features, then look into the Sony Ericsson W800 (or the quadband version the W810), and W900. if you want a buisness phone with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc look into the Nokia N80, N90, N93 etc. there is such a vast number of phones with so many features you need to tell us what exactly you are looking for. again, if i wanted a fast car, i would buy an import, not a big truck. it all comes down to what you need.
and congradulations, you just got spoonfed by a 17 year old
haha im kidding, but if you do want help and you give me more info on what your looking for, i will be more than glad to help.
