Alien Vs. Predator

Well, the movie was released today in the US, but I went to se I Robot last weekend and seen the trailer for it. I have already seen it before on the internet, but I was shocked to se it has been given a 12A rating in the UK. (PG-13 in the US).

What with all 4 Alien and 2 Predator films being given 18 certificates, you would have thought that the fight between the two would receive the same, but no, this if a film the 8 year olRAB can se as long as mummy and daddy is there, (or older bro or sis!).

Has anyone seen the movie yet? I was really looking forward to it but now I've learned that it's only rated as 12A, I have been a bit put off. I'm expecting horrid editing and changing of the storyline just to accomodate the kiddies. And we have to wait until October to see it, and it's out in the US already!

Are ANY films released as 15 or 18 in the cinemas anymore or is the future of cinema kiddie orientated crap?

WTF?! Im lost!! Ok his/her views are a bit extreme but whats that all about?! As for THE TOPIC!!! I cant say im wetting myself over alien vs Predator, looks like some american "just trying to make some more money of a franchise" tripe. Ill spend my money on I,robot or the village!
 
You do have a very valid point. I think most of the ground was covered with Terminator 3 (a.k.a Terminator Lite
 
Pretty disappointing about the certificate rating. I like my Alien movies scary and my Predator movies violent. Doesn't look like we'll be getting much of either here.

I loved the A Vs P comics years ago but as soon as I heard there was going to be a movie, I have to confess to letting slip a pessimistic groan.

Still, chin up. Better this than the cat in the hat.
 
You guys i have already watched this film by means i cannot say here..........Lets just say it involves a computer and the internet! ;)

And let me tell you guys.............Dont think Aliens..............Don't even think Predetor.......Think Batman and Robin......and Speed 2!

When i mean think Batman and Robin and Speed 2......I meant that this film has no regard to the origins of both the franchises and the film makers obviously think us the paying (or not paying in my case!) audience have no intelligents at all what so ever! This film will single handedly kill both of these once great franchise!

SPOILER ALERT !!!!!



The Predetors cant fight without their guns.................That was something that confused me terribly since in the movies they seem to be great fighters and killers.........with or without guns!

The Aliens look rubbery and fake!

The predetors towarRAB the end .................End up...........wait for it..........wait..........they end up teaming up with the humans in the story to kill the aliens........No really i'm being serious!

And then it gets worse........once all but one of the Humans are all dead.....the last surviving one becomes a honoury Predetor and is awarded with a badge from the Predetors!

No i'm not joking all of the above and more that i have not mentioned are in the film.........This film will insult you more then any other film this year!

Save your money and watch the originals guys!

That's what happens in the first series of A Vs P comics. ....It's not a badge though, it's a Harry Potter style scar.

They must've lifted the story.
 
Okay i know everyone will be telling me "well what did you expect.........an intelligent movie?"

Well for your answer no........But i was expecting a bit of fun like 'Freddy-vs-Jason'.......Yes shit film but it was fun, nothing more and nothing less!

But AvP really takes the piss, the first half is fun until the humans come in, they are dull as hell.........they are neither funny nor interesting......They are just there to fill time.

The Predators are turned into weak fighting machines and the Aliens loose all the creepiness they had in the previous films.

The only good bit about this movie is the ending...........Because thats the only fun bit about it......they way it was filmed would want to make you laugh! It so shite.

God i much prefer Catwoman to this lol!..........And no i'm being serious, at least with Catwoman theres things to laugh at lol.

Hollywood suits making films 'by the numbers' + a truly awful director - abortion.

How Anderson gets these gigs is beyond me - he must have some serious shit on the suits or be a great coke dealer :P
