I missed it at the cinema so I decided to get it on dvd. It's only just been released here (UK), had some spare cash, so decided to invest in a copy. I say "missed"; I didn't literally miss it, like walk into the wrong room in the cinema one day and it stopped playing the next, I chose not to watch it because of the bad reviews.
I should have listened to those reviews shouldn't I? How f***ing awful is this movie? It's so awful it's depressing. Not only does it have nothing to offer at all, but it also fails as a popcorn action movie. Dull, dull, dull. I'm seriously thinking of taking it back to the shop and demanding not only a refund, but an apology for not slapping me in the face and telling me to come to my senses before buying it.
It's very rare I come away from a film and say it has absolutely nothing going for it. I raised a smile a few times during "Dude, Where's My Car", I even enjoyed the action scene in "Pearl Harbor", but this film deserves to have all remaining unsold copies detroyed, then everyone have a sort of dvd amnesty and burn them all. It is a crime to buy this movie.
