I watched it several times as a child on television but I don't recall the name of it and it's bothered me - I've scoured the Yahoo Answers and other 'alien fan sites' but have come nothing close. Either that or it's a figment of my imagination.
Details: these are fragments but I think it is enough - I remember that the women who are impregnated would give birth in a few days or spontaneously. The baby alien would violently burst out of the womb/rip itself out leaving the human mother dead. The baby aliens did not look like typical ones but with a tentacle like lower half. Cigarette smoke (if I recall correctly) seems to speed up the birth process.
Based on the cars' age this movie appears to be based on a more 1980-1990s timeline and in an English speaking state presumably the United States?

The end scene is a traffic jam on a bridge/freeway of some sort with a woman lighting up a cigarette and starts feeling pains. She honks to notify other drivers and people take notice and approach to help but before anything else is revealed the film ends.
