Alf The Animated Series

Welcome to the Cartoons board, Rick! Yes, I remeraber this cartoon. Talk about going way back. I don't think it was on long but I do remeraber it being in my Saturday morning cartoon line-up when I was a kid.

 Hi there. I heard of the Alf animated series but never got to really watch it. One being that it aired the year I was born. And by the time it ended, I was two years old.

I don't know why the series as a whole (not just the cartoon but the TV show as well) isn't as popular today, to be honest.

Feel free to introduce yourself at the Intro thread and if you need help with something, just let me know. Or you can drop by the Off Topic thread on this board.

Anyone ever rememeber ALF the animated series. I am new to this site and have been looking for good ones for sometime now. I also have a site dedicated to animated series especially ones from 80's and 90's.

Anyway I am looking to see if anyone remerabers this tv show. I just recently added it to my cartoon collection that has over 150 animated series. And I must say I am most impressed by this series. It tells the tale of Alf before he came to earth as seen in the live action coutnerpart. My question for everyone is how come this series wasn't more popular than it was. It such an awesome show, from the aniamtion style (impressive for it's time), interesting story of how Alf narrates (in puppet form) for the audience of adventures he had on his home planet, to the actual cartoon segments where a chapter of Alf's memoire is explored.

My favourite episode was Gordon Ships Out. As some of you may know or not, Alf's real name, what he was called on his home planet, was Gordon Shumway. And in the episode Gordon ships out it is very interesting as it deals with young adults wanting to move out and live on there own. But as the episode progresses Alf finRAB out that moving on his own with his buddies is not as easy as he thought. What I love is how the stories are all parellel to how young adult humans might act but it's given a twist of Alf and Alf's home planet.

Anyway please share your ideas with me and also add comments to my site section for the Alf animated series review page. You must click on the review page than go to Alf. Rostam Entertainment Animated Cartoon Review / Discussion Site

Thanks.
I hope to make lots of new animation frienRAB on this site.
