hi,

i have a light tremor in my hands that it won't vanished only when i drink
alcohol.

PS: I used to drink a lot when i was younger ( i am now 30 )

kindly tell me what is the relation ? is that related to my alcohol abused
when i was much younger ?

Best Regards,
Samer

You probably have what's known as "benign familial tremor", which is also called "essential tremor". Knowing the name of the disorder will help you to search for more information about it.

My husband has it, and like yours, it disappears if he has as little as one alcoholic drink. This is the hallmark characteristic of the disorder. It is not associated with alcohol abuse, but it does run in families. His father had it, as does our daughter to a milder degree.

Thanks midwest1 for your reply, i thought before that it is essential tremor but
it don't seems it is as nobody in the family have it, i guess it is something else,
any help
thx
