In my youth I was a workout freak. Since that time I have broken bones which layer me out for up to a year each gone thru a divorce and have been mostly inactive except for my physically demanding job. Over the past few years I have used alcohol to deal with life and it's pain. I drink about a fifth a night. Over the past few months I have been resuming my old routine but at a much slower pace and weight level. I know muscle recovery and the lack of hydration from drinking are detrimental but am looking for anyone who can clue me into any other side effects while working out. I am not drinking while working out and all u AA'ers out there I am not ready or willing to stop drinking. I am happy and I drink. Just looking for info.
