alcohol and blood donation

Can I have any alcohol the night before giving blood. I will be having about 4 beers tonight and giving blood tomorrow afternoon is it still ok to give blood?

It may possibly be ok but I suggest not. Alcohol can cause many differental things to happen with your blood depending on how much you drink. It takes your body a certain amount of time to filter acohol out of your system completely. My suggestion is donate blood a bit later in the next day if your going to drink that night.
