I was told that before I can go on medicine for my migraines I have to get a blood test. What will this test be looking for, and more importantly will drinking alcohol the night before cause any problems?
Ya, probably will affect the test. Not sure what they test for probably a lot of things like toxins, certain proteins or vitamins that may be to high, other misc. levels in your body. I would imagine they are trying to figure out why you get them before they give you meds. Good Luck! I get them to, they are miserable!!!
You will probably be told to "fast" meaning you won't be able to eat or drink anything for 12 hours before the test. If you drink alcohol before the 12 hours start it won't make any difference.
